SHARED READING
As a trained facilitator since 2016 (The Reader, Liverpool), Sara Piazza has guided countless shared reading sessions in German, Italian and English. Her multilingual background taught her very early on that there are many ways to express an idea. In a shared reading setting, dialogue is inspired by a piece of literature read aloud in a group of people, in real time.
One very important aspect of Sara’s work is that, while orchestrating a session and somewhat conducting it – to stay with the musical analogy – she does not assume a traditional leadership role. Every session is brought to life by the ideas of the participants and becomes a collective and unique creative act.
LETTURAINSIEME – LITERARY BLIND DATE – IN ITALIAN
In February and March 2026, Sara Piazza will launch a new format created exclusively for the Italian Cultural Institute in Berlin: the literary Blind Date. Unpredictable, engaging and always different. Through the active and shared reading of Italian literary texts in their original language and German ones (in translation) – which are not revealed in advance – an unexpected and exciting intercultural dialogue is created. Everyone is welcome, whether you want to read, speak or just listen.
Dates: 25.2. / 11.3. / 25.3.2026 at 6.30 p.m.
